NEVADA TEST SITE

USAF-During the months of May through October 1957 the Atomic Energy Commission and the Department of Defence jointly conducted a test series known as "Operation Plumbbob" for research and development of nuclear weapons in the Yucca Flats, Nevada. The nuclear cloud from the "Priscilla" detonation rises behind a B-25 cloud tracking aircraft.
